- Go to the start menu at the bottom of the screen. See below.
- Choose Control panel from the right menu
3. When the control panel opens, double click on the system icon.

5. The first part of the system properties box will open. Here you can see some details of your computer. For example it shows what processor and how much memory your computer has. See screenshot below.
6. Now press on the Advanced system settings link in the left sidebar. This will bring up the true system properties box like the one we used to see in Windows XP.
8. Now you can see the different tabs or categories in the system properties box that you can go to. If you want to change your computer name then you must go to the Computer Name Tab.
